Press Release: New HIV/AIDS Website Launched

Calgary, November 9, 2000 — The Alberta Reappraising AIDS Society (ARAS) was formed in 1999 to challenge the myth that HIV is the cause of AIDS, and to provide information to Albertans that will help them realize that HIV tests are inaccurate, that AIDS is caused by exposure to toxic or immune-suppressive substances, and that anti-HIV drugs are extremely toxic, can cause AIDS, and may be fatal. ARAS is pround to announce the launch of its website www.aras.ab.ca, a unique source of alternative information on HIV and AIDS for people in Alberta and around the world.

The website contains numerous quotes from the peer-reviewed, scientific literature on the stunningly toxic AIDS drug AZT (at www.aras.ab.ca/azt.html). Although this drug is known to be a “transplacental carcinogen, mutagen and teratogen”, it is still prescribed to HIV+ pregnant women, with any side effects to mother or baby conveniently blamed on HIV, not the therapy. Similarly, the toxicities (and ineffectiveness) of multi-drug AIDS combinations known as HAART (Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy) are documented at www.aras.ab.ca/haart.html. The limitations and inaccuracies of HIV testing are documented, through the use of quotes from the scientific literature, at www.aras.ab.ca/test.html.

Not realizing that HIV tests may be inaccurate (or completely meaningless), and having been exposed solely to the HIV=AIDS=Death propaganda, they panic and soon find themselves on horribly toxic drugs. Sadly, when they inevitably start to sicken on the drugs, they are encouraged to focus on the ‘numbers’ that AIDS doctors use to monitor their condition, and to ignore their declining health. Hopefully this new website will help provide a balance, and encourage people to make fully informed decisions.” says David Crowe, President of the society.
