It was originally believed that HIV caused AIDS by killing CD4 immune cells. But this was proven false. Now most researchers talk about Ôimmune activationÕ, except that nobody can explain how this is connected to the death of CD4 cells. So here we have it, almost 30 years after AIDS was declared to be a new syndrome Ð still no explanation for the death of CD4 cells.
